On the 28th of January, the RCL was announced to the school.

After a week of campaigning, the RCL and LCC  body voted for the executive council.

The RCL executives were announced in front of the school during assembly on the 4th of February.

To achieve the executive position, these learners had to be voted for by their peers to become an LLC or RCL.

The results are as follows: The LCC vice-chairperson for 2020 is Sindiswe Dube. The LCC chairperson is Sbusiso Mazibuko. Michel Kalongo was elected as the Public Relations Officier.  The position of Treasurer is held by Lerato Phali. The Vice Secretary is Zinhle Dlamini and Secretary is Khanyi Nsuntsha. Mpho Lebina was named the Vice President. After building the suspense, Mrs Uka proudly announced that the RCL President for 2020 was Musa Mthembu.

The Executive Council was wished well by both Ms Uka and MS Goosen.
The president’s aims to change the school for the better.

She stated that two of her siblings attended Germiston High over seven years ago and that it bothered her to hear that certain issues were still prevalent at the school.

“This realisation compelled me to use my abilities to initiate substantial development.  My main objective is to bridge the communication gap between students, teachers and leaders so that every issue may be addressed with everyone’s interests being taken into consideration.” Musa aims to leave a mark of her presence and inspire every future president at the school to not only wear their Presidential Blazers with pride, but also do the work to back it up.
